Freshwater Fly FIshing
Freshwater trips run November through April in Central and Western Massachusetts.
Float or wade the Deerfield, Ware, or Millers Rivers – By boat or by foot, these three Massachusetts rivers offer fly anglers both challenge and reward. The scenic Deerfield, the accessible Ware, and the remote “Bear’s Den” section of the Millers are home to rainbow, brown and brook trout.
Float Trips
Floating the Deerfield River in Western Massachusetts is an adventure for up to two anglers on board “Trout Hunter’. Focusing on the sections of river just below the Fife Brook Dan we target brown and rainbow trout using nymph and dry fly techniques
Half Day: $350 / one angler, $100 per additional angler
Full Day: $500 / one angler, $150 per additional angler
Float and Wade Combo Trip
The accessible Ware River is a close neighbor to the popular Swift River but offers far less crowded conditions and easy access. Combining floating and wading sections of the river allows anglers to pick and choose sections of the river to focus on and the opportunity to perfect their technique.
Half Day: $300 / one angler, $75 per additional angler
Wade Trips
Explore the remote feeling “Bear’s Den” section of the Millers River. This technical water invites anglers to vary their approach based on the section of river and river conditions. From tight line nymphing, to trout spey, to casting dry flies the Millers River offers an angler many opportunities to test and hone their skills.
Half Day: $250 / one angler, $50 per additional angler
Full Day: $400 / one angler, $100 per additional angler
